New Regulations will require digital upgrade

Beginning 1/1/2017 Medicare reimbursements will be reduced by 20% for healthcare providers that are using analog film/chemical systems that have not been upgraded to DR digital image capture systems.

CR digital systems will also need to be upgraded to DR systems

beginning in 2018.  Facilities that are utilizing CR systems after 1/1/2018 will be subjected to a 7% reduction in their reimbursement rates if they haven’t upgraded to a DR system by that date.  The rate reduction will increase to 10% in 2023 for practices that have not

upgraded by that date.
